Complaints & Enforcement

The Board is responsible for enforcing the Dental Practice Act, which is set forth in Chapter 4715 of the Ohio Revised Code and Ohio Administrative Code. Ohio law authorizes the Board to investigate and pursue administrative action in cases in which the information submitted tends to demonstrate that the Dental Practice Act has been violated.

About this section

The Ohio State Dental Board is charged with protecting the public at large by regulating and enforcing the standards of practice of dentistry. The Board's enforcement activities are limited to initiating and taking disciplinary action(s) against practitioners who have violated the Dental Practice Act. The Board must take action to stop substandard practice, or practice by those without necessary qualifications.
