The Ohio State
Dental Board is the state agency designated to regulate the practice of
dentistry, dental hygiene and dental assistant radiography. It's charge
is to administer and enforce the Dental Practice Act: Ohio Revised Code
Chapter 4715 (laws), and Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 4715 (rules).
As explained in detail in the Board's Mission Statement, the Board is
charged with licensing and regulating the dental profession. The Board
also handles complaints filed with the Board against licensees, and it
may impose discipline against those who are found to have violated the
Dental Practice Act. This is further explained in the Complaint Process
and Disciplinary Process which can be accessed by clicking on the menu
item marked "Enforcement."
