Proposed Amended and No Change Administrative Rules

The Ohio State Dental Board (Board) has posted draft rules for comment.  As part of the public participation process, the Board solicits and encourages input from affected organizations and individuals.

The proposed amended and no changes rules are as follows:

·        Common Sense Initiative – Business Impact Analysis for O.A.C. Section 4715-5

o   4715-5-01 Criteria for admission to dental licensing examination.

o   4715-5-04 Specialty designation.

o   4715-5-06 Reports of adverse occurrences.

·        Common Sense Initiative – Business Impact Analysis for O.A.C. Section 4715-7

o   4715-7-01 Limited resident’s license.

o   4715-7-02 Limited teaching license.

Additionally, Senate Bill 2 of the 129th General Assembly requires state agencies, including the Board, to draft rules in collaboration with stakeholders, assess and justify any adverse impact on the business community (as defined by SB 2), and provide opportunity for the affected public to provide input on the rules.

If you wish to comment on the proposed rule changes at this time, please submit your comments and include the rule number in the “Subject” line to dental.board@dental.ohio.gov AND copy the Common Sense Initiative Office (CSI) on your e-mail at csipubliccomments@governor.ohio.gov .

The deadline for public comment for purposes of CSI is at the end of business on Thursday, October 11, 2018.

The Board anticipates holding a public hearing on the proposed rule in December 2018, at which time the public will be provided further opportunity to provide comment on the rule to the Board.
